The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) issued an orange fog warning at 0240 hours (local time) on Tuesday (27 January).

Authorities forecast fog with visibility below 200 meters from early morning through noon across the urban area of Shangqiu City and its subordinate towns and streets. Localized visibility may drop below 50 meters during the warning period.
