As per reports, an accident took place where a vehicle crashed into a bank on Nanjing East Road in Taipei at approximately 1500 hours (local time) on Friday (23 January).

The van crashed into the Chang Hwa Bank at the intersection between Section 02 of Nanjing East Road and Yijiang Street. There is a large number of fire department and local authorities at the scene for rescue. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
