Drone restrictions imposed in Dimapur, Nagaland on Monday (26 January)

As per reports, authorities have imposed temporary drone and Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) restrictions within the Dimapur Police Commissionerate ahead of Republic Day celebrations on Monday (26 January).

The order has been issued by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, under Rule 24 of the Drone Rules, 2021, to strengthen security arrangements.

• As per the directive, areas within a two-kilometre radius of selected venues have been declared Red Zones or No-Fly Zones. The restrictions will be in force from 0200 hours (local time) to 1800 hours (local time) on Monday (26 January).
• Declared No-Fly Zones include: Dimapur DDSC Stadium, Chümoukedima Samaguting Stadium, and Niuland Public Ground.
• During the specified period, no drone or RPA operations will be permitted without prior approval from the competent authority.
