The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported a magnitude 5.2 earthquake west of Kalamansig on Tuesday (20 January). The earthquake occurred at approximately 0300 hours (local time).
• The tremor was recorded offshore and registered Intensity III shaking in several onshore locations. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage at the time of reporting.
• Reported felt intensities include the City of General Santos, Kiamba and Maitum in Sarangani and Santo Niño, T’boli, Lake Sebu, Norala, and Tupi in South Cotabato.
