As per reports, Tropical Storm Ada (Nokaen) further intensifies while over the Philippine Sea east of Bicol region on Saturday (17 January).

• As per PAGASA’s advisory issued at 0500 hours (local time), heavy rainfall is expected in Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Northern Samar, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Eastern Samar, Samar and Biliran.
• There remains a wind threat due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas.
• Further intensification to severe tropical storm is not ruled out.
• Tropical Storm Ada will move west northwestward to northwestward on Saturday (17 January) before slowly turning generally northward on Sunday (18 January).
