Charter aircraft crashes near Rourkela, Odisha on Saturday (10 January); all passengers evacuated

As per reports, a nine-seater IndiaOne Air charter aircraft flying from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar crashed near the Jagda block, around 10-15 kilometres from Rourkela on Saturday (10 January). Rescue teams reached the crash site and shifted six passengers and one pilot to a hospital in Rourkela for medical treatment.

A team from the tourism department is also expected to arrive from Bhubaneswar to assess the situation. The local administration and related agencies remain on alert and have made security arrangements at the site. Further details, including the cause of the crash, are awaited.
