The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued an extreme fire weather warning on Friday (09 January) for multiple fire weather districts across Victoria.

• Very hot and dry conditions are expected to develop across Victoria during the morning and persist through the afternoon.
• Catastrophic Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:North Central, Northern Country, South West and Wimmera
• Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:Central, East Gippsland, Mallee, North East and West and South Gippsland
