As per reports, the Florida Department of Transportation has announced a temporary overnight closure of all westbound lanes on Interstate 4 from Wednesday (07 January) at the Downtown Tampa Interchange.
• The closure is scheduled to begin at 2200 hours local time (0300 hours UTC) on Wednesday (07 January), and is scheduled to remain in effect until 0500 hours local time (1000 hours UTC) on Thursday (08 January).
• During the closure, westbound I 4 traffic is scheduled to be required to exit at the Selmon Connector, continue onto the Selmon Expressway, and use Exit 8 to access Kennedy Boulevard.
• Motorists seeking access to Interstate 275 southbound are expected to continue west on Kennedy Boulevard, turn right onto Ashley Drive, and re enter the interstate using the southbound entrance ramp.
• Drivers traveling toward northbound I 275 should continue west on Kennedy Boulevard, turn right onto Jefferson Street, proceed north on Orange Avenue, and re enter the interstate via the northbound entrance ramp.
• FDOT has confirmed that tolls on the westbound Selmon Expressway between the Selmon Connector and Exit 8 are scheduled to be suspended for the duration of the overnight closure.
