As per reports, a pressure improvised explosive device blast was reported in Lendra-Korcholi forest area in Bijapur on Monday (05 January). The blast caused severe injuries to a 15 year old boy.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the explosive device had been planted by Maoist elements in the area. In response, security forces have heightened surveillance and intensified patrolling, while urging residents to promptly report any unidentified or suspicious objects to the authorities.
