Traffic restrictions reported due to bushfire activity in parts of Victoria on Monday (05 January)

The VicEmergency issued an Advice-level warning at 1434 hours (local time) on Monday (05 January) for Molyullah, Samaria, and Tatong in Victoria, following bushfire activity that has led to traffic restrictions and road closures in the area.

Travel through the affected area is restricted to emergency vehicles only. The following traffic management points have been established in the Tolmie and Tatong areas:

• Tatong–Tolmie Road at the intersection with Tatong–Moorngag Road
• Tiger Hill Road and O’Dea Road
• Tiger Hill Road at Old Coach Road
• Tatong–Tolmie Road at Spring Creek Road
• Fire-fighting aircraft, including large air tanker aeroplanes, are operating in the area until late evening, while ground crews supported by heavy machinery will continue suppression operations overnight.
• The next official update is expected by 1000 hours (local time) on Tuesday (06 January) or earlier if conditions change.
