As per reports, the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) is scheduled to implement a new service pattern for the U9 subway line effective Monday (05 January) due to an ongoing closure between Bundesplatz and Rathaus Steglitz.
• The new service pattern is expected to include trains alternating between two routes: one running between Bundesplatz and Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz, and another running between Osloer Straße and Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz.
• A mandatory transfer to a dedicated shuttle train is required for passengers traveling between Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz and Walther-Schreiber-Platz stations.
• For travel between Walther-Schreiber-Platz, Schloßstraße, and Rathaus Steglitz stations, passengers are required to use designated replacement bus lines M48, M85, or 186.
• Trains heading towards Osloer Straße are scheduled to depart alternately from both platforms at Bundesplatz station, while trains towards Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz are expected to depart only from platform track one.
