As per reports, multiple women were stabbed in the Paris metro on Friday (26 December) between 1615 and 1645 hours (local time). The incidents occurred on Line 3 at the stations République, Arts-et-Métiers, and Opéra. Victims were treated by Paris firefighters; injuries were not life-threatening.
The suspect is a 25-year-old Malian male, in irregular administrative status in France. He has a prior criminal record, including aggravated theft and sexual assault, and was previously under an Obligation to Leave French Territory (OQTF) and assigned to residence after release from administrative detention. Authorities confirmed he was wanted at the time of the attacks.
