As per reports, a major fire broke out in a furniture godown in the Godadara area in Surat city around 1844 hours (local time) on Monday (22 December).

• Reports indicate that six godowns have been engulfed in flames and that multiple fire engines have been deployed to the scene.
• There have been no reports of casualties yet.
