As per reports, the labor alliance Aliansi Buruh Bekasi Melawan (BBM) has announced a mass demonstration in Kota Bekasi on Monday (22 December).

The protest targets the Acting Head of the Bekasi Manpower Office (Plt Kadisnaker), who is accused of imposing a 2026 city minimum wage (UMK) formula using an alpha coefficient of 0.6. Labor groups argue this contradicts national policy directions that allow a higher alpha of 0.9.
