As per reports, demonstrations as part of anti-corruption protests were reported in cities across Bulgaria on Thursday (18 December).

• Reportedly, demonstrations, including nearly 1000 protestors, took place in the capital Sofia and major cities such as Varna and Plovdiv.
• The demands included fair elections and reform of the judicial system to tackle corruption. A key demand includes the exclusive use of voting machines in upcoming parliamentary elections to prevent vote buying and election fraud.
