As per reports, Western Railway has announced a 30-day traffic block on the Borivali–Kandivali section of the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway, effective from Saturday (20 December). The traffic block has been issued to facilitate infrastructure works related to the construction of a sixth railway line in the section.
During the block period, several suburban train services are expected to be rescheduled, regulated, short-terminated, short-originated, or cancelled. Reports also indicated that select services may skip halts at Borivali station as part of the traffic management plan. The block has been implemented under a Traffic Working Order issued by railway authorities.
