As per reports published on Monday (15 December) trade union representatives at the Tunis Transport Company announced plans to organize a general labor gathering outside the company’s premises.

• The decision was taken during an emergency meeting held under the supervision of the executive office of the General Transport Federation affiliated with the Tunisian General Labour Union.
• Union representatives stated that the timing and logistical arrangements of the labour gathering are to be determined and communicated at a later stage.
• The planned gathering has been announced as a show of workforce unity and in response to concerns raised regarding internal management practices at the company.
• The General Transport Federation issued a statement through its official Facebook page holding the management of the Tunis Transport Company and the supervisory authority responsible for the current situation.
