As per reports, the meeting held at the Prefecture of Ancona on Wednesday (10 December), to activate cooling off procedures regarding the Conerobus labour dispute ended without an agreement. The date of the strike is expected to fall in January, immediately after the Christmas holidays.
• Union organizations including the Italian Federation of Transport Workers of the Italian General Confederation of Labour (Filt CGIL), the Italian Federation of Transport Workers of the Italian Confederation of Workers’ Trade Unions (Fit CISL), the Italian Transport Workers Union (Uiltrasporti), and the Italian Federation of Autonomous Transport Workers (Faisa) confirmed their intention to proceed with a 24 hour strike involving all Conerobus employees.
• A second round of meetings is scheduled for Thursday (11 December) morning at the Conerobus headquarters between union leaders and company management. The agenda includes a technical examination of the proposed recovery plan followed by a formal declaration of the unions’ continued intention to strike.
• Conerobus announced that it is expected to guarantee service from 0530 hours local time (0000 hours UTC) to 0830 hours local time (0300 hours UTC) and from 1730 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) to 2030 hours local time (1500 hours UTC), although significant cancellations may occur outside those protected time windows.
