As per reports, a multi-vehicle collision has been reported along Provincial Highway 02 at the 99-kilometre mark in the Gongliao section of New Taipei City on Monday (08 December).

• A large truck traveling toward Yilan has crossed the median into the opposite lane and collided with a container truck traveling toward Keelung, followed by a secondary collision involving a third truck behind the container truck.
• Police units from Ruifang Precinct have been deployed to manage traffic, and both directions of Provincial Highway 2 have remained blocked due to emergency operations.
• One driver has been confirmed deceased, and another has been transported for medical treatment; an additional rear-end collision in the vicinity has resulted in no injuries.
