The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for multiple districts in Kerala on Monday (24 November) for the next two days. Districts under alert include Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki.
The alert covers heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, squally winds and rough sea conditions along the Kerala coast. A low pressure system developing over the Comorin region and the adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal may further enhance rainfall activity and contribute to rough sea conditions.
