As per reports, on Sunday (09 November), the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) of Costa Rica has forecast increased humidity from the Caribbean trade winds, which is expected to affect weather conditions from morning onwards in several regions, including the Caribbean coast (Limón and Guápiles), the Northern Zone (Ciudad Quesada), and parts of the Central Valley (San José, Heredia, and Cartago).
• In the early morning, isolated rainfall is expected off the coast of Limón, particularly near Puerto Limón, Moín, and Matina, later moving inland into the Caribbean region, including Guápiles and Siquirres, and extending to the northern area of the country, such as Upala and Los Chiles.
• In the Central Valley, including the canton of San José, light rainfall is forecast in the northern and eastern mountain zones, particularly around Coronado, San Isidro de Heredia, and Cartago, with a minimum temperature of 18.1 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 26.3 degrees Celsius expected in San José.
• The North Pacific region is forecast to experience moderate gusts in mountainous areas such as Monteverde and Cañas, along with localized afternoon rainfall across the Península de Nicoya, particularly in Nicoya, Santa Cruz, and Nandayure; in Puntarenas, the minimum temperature is projected at 23.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 35.4 degrees Celsius.
• In the Central Pacific, scattered rainfall and thunderstorms may affect the region in the afternoon, particularly in Quepos, Parrita, Jacó, and Tarrazú; temperatures are forecast between 17.9 degrees Celsius and 30.1 degrees Celsius.
• The South Pacific is forecast to experience scattered rainfall with thunderstorms toward the end of the day, especially in Golfito, Osa, Palmar, and Pavones; in Golfito, the minimum temperature is expected at 21.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 28.5 degrees Celsius.
• In the northern Caribbean, including Guápiles, scattered rainfall is anticipated on the plain during the morning, extending toward Tortuguero and Cariari; the temperature range is projected between 23.1 degrees Celsius and 28.7 degrees Celsius.
• For the southern Caribbean around Limón, skies are forecast to be overcast, with occasional rainfall expected during the afternoon and evening, particularly in Puerto Limón, Cahuita, and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca; the temperature range is forecast to be between 23.2 degrees Celsius and 28.7 degrees Celsius.
• The northern zone of the country may remain cloudy all day, with occasional rainfall on the plains in the morning and scattered rainfall in the afternoon and night, especially in Ciudad Quesada, Upala, Los Chiles, and La Fortuna; in Ciudad Quesada, temperatures are forecast between 16.6 degrees Celsius and 26.7 degrees Celsius.
