As per reports, a fire incident took place at a cotton warehouse in Gazipur district’s Tongi at around 1145 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 November) in the Millgate area. Seven firefighting units from Tongi, Uttara and Gazipur were deployed and doused the fire at around 1330 hours (local time).

No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
