As per reports, the Maharashtra and Goa Bar Council is likely to strike on Monday (03 November), to demand the passage of the Lawyer Protection Act to prevent the allegedly increasing attacks on lawyers.

The council has demanded the closure of all courts and bench offices in Maharashtra on Monday (03 November), and appealed to all registered lawyers to stay away from court proceedings. It has also announced that lawyers will hold a peaceful protest, though the location of the protest has not yet been announced.
