As per reports, lack of services have been reported at a largest government hospital, Jawahar Chikitsalaya in Jaisalmer. While the hospital is a district hospital, it remains a small town medical center in terms of facilities. It lacks an ICU ward or a burn unit. Seriously injured or burned patients are referred to Jodhpur after receiving first aid.
