Adverse weather warnings issued across Turkey for Wednesday (08 October)

As per reports, the Turkish Weather Service (MGM) issued strong wind and storms warning from 1400 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Tuesday (07 October) to 1800 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) on Wednesday (08 October).

• The affected areas include south and east of Central Anatolia, north and east of Eastern Anatolia, inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea Region and inland parts of the Mediterranean.
• Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms warning has been issued from 2200 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Tuesday (07 October) to 2359 hours local time (2059 hours UTC) on Wednesday (08 October) in the areas including Anamur, Bozyazı, and Aydıncık districts of Mersin.
• The Regional Forecast and Warning Center of the 13th Regional Directorate of Meteorology, issued strong wind and storm warning for Malatya from 1400 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Tuesday (07 October) to 2300 hours local time (2000 hours UTC) on Wednesday (08 October). Winds are expected to be particularly severe in the Kuluncak, Hekimhan, Arapgir, Arguvan, Darende, Akçadağ, and Yazıhan districts.
