As per reports, on Tuesday (30 September)a shooting occurred at Friends Corner Food Mart, located in the 3300 block of Bailey Avenue in Jackson, Mississippi.

• According to Interim Jackson Police Chief and Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones, the incident resulted in at least one fatality and multiple injuries.
• Initial reports confirmed that three individuals were injured in addition to the deceased victim.
• The Hinds County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene, and both Jackson Police Department (JPD) officers and Capitol Police responded to secure the area. Authorities have confirmed that this remains an active investigation, with no suspect information released at this time.
