As per reports, severe flooding caused the temporary closure of a section of Route 24 southbound in Massachusetts on Thursday (25 September). The flooding is described as “extreme” and is linked to heavy rainfall and severe storm conditions.
The flooding was also observed in parts of Wareham and extending north toward the Boylston Street area in Boston.
• A flash flood watch was issued through 1245 hours local time (1645 hours UTC) for Bristol and Plymouth counties.
• The closure lasted several hours, but the exit has now reopened.
