As per reports, the Directorate of Roads and Highways has confirmed the demolition of the temporary steel bridge, and construction of a new permanent concrete bridge across the Opava River, causing Ratibořská Street closure, from Tuesday (17 September) until end of November.
• The construction project has been reported to last about 70 days, with completion expected by the end of November 2025. Dates are not yet disclosed.
• Ratibořská Street, which carries up to 19,000 cars daily, has been fully closed to all traffic.
• Detours have been set up, but congestion has already been reported on city bypasses and other bridges.
• Reports indicate that public transport routes have been adjusted to accommodate the closure.
