As per reports, a volcanic ash advisory has been issued for Reventador Volcano in Ecuador on Tuesday (09 September), following explosive activity that continues at the summit.
• The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington reported occasional to frequent volcanic ash emissions (VA EMS), with plumes rising up to 15,000 ft (4,600 m) altitude or flight level 150
• Observations from GOES-19 satellite imagery, the volcano monitoring camera (VONA), and numerical weather models confirmed multiple ash clouds drifting west-northwest at a speed of 20 knots.
• Forecasts indicate that volcanic ash at 4,600 meter altitude is expected to persist in the coming 12 to 18 hours with little change in wind direction.
