As per reports, the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) will conduct mosquito control spraying in the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Brighton Heights, Marshall-Shadeland, California-Kirkbride, Manchester, Allegheny Commons, the Mexican War Streets, Perry South, Fineview, and Troy Hill/Spring Garden on Wednesday (10 September) from 1930 hours to 2300 hours (local time).
• The operation is a response to confirmed West Nile virus in local mosquitoes. Spraying will be performed by truck-mounted ultra low volume (ULV) equipment applying Zenivex E20 insecticide.
• The backup date for the operation is Thursday (11 September) during the same hours in case of inclement weather.
