As per reports, a Code Blue Tier 1 response has been activated for the North West Pastoral Districts as strong winds and thunderstorms are forecast to occur across the region on Monday (08 September) and Tuesday (09 September).
Authorities have confirmed the activation may be extended if severe weather continues.
• Forecast for the rest of Monday (08 September): Isolated rainfall expected on the southern coasts and Flinders, with scattered thunderstorms in the northeast. Some storms may bring damaging winds before easing later in the day. Maximum remain above average in most areas, though the far west will see cooler conditions as a southwesterly change pushes through.
• Tuesday (09 September): Rainfall is expected across the agricultural areas and Flinders, with isolated thunderstorms developing across Eyre Peninsula, central districts and the eastern pastoral. In the northeast, storms are predicted to intensify, bringing the risk of damaging winds, heavy rainfall and large hail. Temperatures will fall below average, with well below average conditions in the west as strong southerly winds move through.
