The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued high temperature warnings for multiple regions in Taiwan, including Taipei, New Taipei, Chiayi, Tainan, and Taitung, with temperatures expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius or higher.
An orange signal is now active for Taipei with forecast for more than 36 degrees Celsius, persisting for over three days, signalling significant risk for heat-related illness. The forecast is valid till 1700 hours (local time) on Friday (05 September).
