As per reports, social media activists and members of civil society groups staged a protest demonstration in front of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) building on Thursday (04 September). They stated the demands of the 17+8 movement, demanding an immediate action.

The protesters were met by Andre Rosiade, a member of the Community Aspirations Agency (BAM), Rieke Diah Pitaloka, and Kawendra Lukistian, members of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
