As per reports, around 500 workers from the Eurozone Fashion Garments blocked a road in the Kuril area of Dhaka, in the afternoon hours on Wednesday (03 September), to demand ‘immediate payment’ of outstanding salaries and allowances.

• Due to this protest, vehicular movement was impacted from Kuril to Badda and from Badda to Kuril, prompting the Gulshan Traffic Department to issue traffic diversions.
• Vehicles from Khilkhet were diverted to Mohakhali and Banani without using the flyover while vehicles from Rampura to Kuril were diverted to Uttara through Badda Link Road, Gulshan One and Gulshan Two. Moreover, vehicles from Rampura were diverted to Gulshan Two via Notun Bazar and towards Rampura via Kuratali.
• Authorities stated that vehicles were stuck on the Uttara-Badda-Rampura route during the protest.
• The Gulshan Traffic Department has updated that garment workers are no longer blocking the Kuril road and that traffic movement has resumed.
