As per reports, operations on the high-speed rail line between Madrid and Galicia are scheduled to resume on Wednesday (20 August) at 1700 hours (local time).
• The railway operator, Adif, confirmed and verified the safety of the infrastructure and tracks. Special trains are expected to operate to accommodate passengers who were unable to travel due to the service suspension.
• The Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi) in Zamora confirmed that only one fire outbreak remains near the line as of Wednesday (20 August), located at a considerable distance, while the Cecopi in Galicia reported a single outbreak in Vilariño with teams actively extinguishing it. Remaining traffic closures on conventional and narrow-gauge lines in the province of León are expected to resume once infrastructure inspections are completed.
