As per reports, an updated high surf advisory was released by the National Weather Service for Monmouth and Ocean counties in New Jersey at 0309 hours local time on Tuesday (19 August), which is valid from 0600 hours local time on Wednesday (20 August) until 0600 hours local time on Friday (22 August).

• Large breaking waves of six to nine feet are expected in the surf zone on Wednesday (20 August) and eight to 13 feet on Thursday (21 August).
• Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion have been forecast.
