As per reports, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, will kickstart a fortnight-long ‘Matdata Adhikar Yatra’ (Voters Rights March) on Sunday (17 August) across 23 districts of Bihar, and conclude it on Monday (01 September), to highlight alleged attempts to deprive people’s right to vote through the special intensive revision of electoral rolls.
The yatra is expected to begin at Sasaram Railway Stadium in Rohtas district and conclude after a fortnight at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The yatra will be paused on 20 August, 25 August and 31 August. The following are the details of the yatra:

• 18 August: Aurangabad district.
• 19 August: Gaya and Nalanda districts
• 21 August: Sheikhpura and Lakhisarai districts
• 22 August: Munger and Bhagalour districts
• 23 August: Katihar district
• 24 August: Purnia and Araria districts
• 26 August: Supaul and Madhubhani districts
• 27 August: Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur districts
• 28 August: Sitamarhi and Motihari districts
• 29 August: Bettiah, Gopalganj and Siwan districts
• 30 August: Chhapra and Arrah districts
• 01 September: Gandhi Maidan in Patna
