As per reports, Afinia, a subsidiary of Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) Group, announced planned technical maintenance work from Monday (11 August) to Thursday (14 August), in municipalities across Cesar and Magdalena departments to strengthen the electrical network. To ensure the safety of operators, power service interruptions is scheduled to be implemented in several areas during this period.

• On Monday (11 August), power outages are scheduled to affect multiple circuits in Valledupar, including Barrio 12 De Octubre, Jorge Dangond, Fundadores, Los Caciques, La Manuelita, San Martín, 5 de Enero, Divino Niño, Garupal, Brisas de La Popa, Villa Concha, and Villa Luz.
• On Monday (11 August), Bosconia is scheduled to experience interruptions in Barrio El Carmen and Teresa Urbina sectors, along with the Copey municipality in María Montessori School sector and 8th street between race 18 and race 19.
• On Tuesday (12 August), power outages are scheduled in Valledupar’s Garupal, Divino Niño, Francisco El Hombre, Villa Concha, and Iracal sectors. Additionally, outages are also scheduled to affect San Diego’s corregimientos, including Media Luna, El Paso, El Desastre, Tocaimo, El Rincón, and the veredas New Flowers and Los Sabanales; La Paz neighborhoods Guamaral, Los Encantos, La Bodega, Las Estrella, Villa Luz, El Silencio, and El Coso; El Paso’s Barrio Bethel sector in Corregimiento La Loma; and Bosconia’s Barrio San Francisco De Asís, Barrio El Carmen, Barrio El Recreo, and Barrio Alto Prado sectors.
• The maintenance is scheduled to continue on Wednesday (13 August), with outages in Valledupar sectors such as Villa Luz, San Vicente, Villa Tayrona, La Nevada, San Martín, Las Flores, Divino Niño, La Popa, La Ceiba, and Garupal. Additional outages on Wednesday (13 August) are also scheduled to affect Agustín Codazzi’s Finca Medellín and Caserío San Ramón sectors, as well as Bosconia’s Barrio Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, Barrio Teresa Urbina, and Barrio San Francisco De Asís neighborhoods.
• On Thursday (14 August), Bosconia Circuit is scheduled to have a power interruption from 0930 hours to 1300 hours (local time) along Kilometer three Via Bosconia – El Copey. Affected areas include Barrio San Francisco De Asís, Barrio El Carmen, Barrio Teresa Urbina, Barrio Alto Prado, and surrounding sectors, with some locations experiencing multiple intervals of power interruption during the day.
