As per reports, a Zelin-manufactured reconnaissance aircraft, operated by Algerian Civil Protection, crashed recently during a training mission at Ferhat Abbas Airport in Jijel Province, Algeria, on Tuesday (05 August).
• The crash resulted in four fatalities, including two Civil Protection officers (one a Lieutenant Colonel and Commander of the Civil Protection Air Group, the other a Captain and trainee pilot), a trainee from the Abdata Flight School, and a Chilean national identified as a Tractor Airlines operator.
• Investigations into the cause of the incident are underway.
• No delays or cancellations have been reported at the Ferhat Abbas Airport as of 0750 hours (local time) on Wednesday (06 August).
