• The action is called by the Metallurgical and Related Industries Union (SIMA) and the Transport Union (ST), citing demands for fair wages, paid night shifts, and better working conditions. Further strikes are scheduled for 08–11 August, 15–18 August, 22–25 August, and 29 August–01 September.
• While arbitration has mandated minimum services, delays are still expected, especially at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport, where around 2,000 employees are based. The company has activated contingency measures, but authorities recommend arriving early for flights.
