• The incident involved a duplex commercial building housing a gold shop, a gaming store, and a language school, all of which were damaged in the blast.
• The Rasht Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization confirmed that seven fire trucks, 27 firefighters, and a senior officer were dispatched immediately following citizen reports of a loud explosion. Rescue teams completed debris removal operations, and the scene has been secured.
• Reports indicate that the number of injured remains at 18, with 16 individuals hospitalised and two treated on-site. No fatalities or individuals trapped under debris have been reported as of Monday (21 July).
• Reportedly, the intensity of the explosion, which affected the surrounding area for several meters, and reiterated the need for strict safety compliance in residential and commercial zones.
