As per reports, following are the situational update in Gopalganj, in Bangladesh, as of Saturday (19 July):
• Authorities in Gopalganj have relaxed the ongoing curfew on Saturday (19 July), allowing public movement till 2000 hours.
• Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman announced the decision late on Friday (18 July).
• The curfew will remain in effect until further notice. Officials stated that the temporary relaxation aims to ease public disruptions while maintaining security.
• On Saturday (19 July), Home Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury informed that the bodies buried in Gopalganj will be exhumed for post-mortem examinations if necessary as the bodies of the victims were taken away by their families in Gopalganj without conducting any post-mortem.
