As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flood warning for Bergen County, New Jersey effective from Monday (14 July) until 0015 hours (local time) on Tuesday (15 July) due to ongoing heavy rainfall.
• The warning also applies to portions of southern Connecticut (Fairfield), southeast New York (Rockland and Westchester Counties), and northeast New Jersey.
• Flash flood warnings remain active for Essex and Union counties until 2200 hours (local time).
• Ground stops have been reportedly implemented at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and delays are reported at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) due to thunderstorms, impacting both arrival and departure schedules.
• Multiple cities, including Newark, Elizabeth, Plainfield, and Westfield, are currently experiencing or are at risk of flash flooding
