Drain cleaning work undertaken in Gurugram following heavy rainfall – 14 July

As per reports, in response to the waterlogging caused by recent heavy rainfall, the Haryana Government has put all civic teams of Gurugram on high alert to undertake relief measures including drain cleaning, as of Monday (14 July).

• Teams from the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), Public Works Department and disaster management have been deployed to identify the key crises areas and initiate the relief operations.
• The teams are working on damaged clogged drains, temporary pumping stations and specialised equipment to remove water from the affected areas.
• Drain cleaning and streamlining of the drainage system are being carried out to restore normalcy as quickly as possible.
• In view of the upcoming rainfall, the corporation teams have been put on alert mode and the control rooms are actively monitoring for all scenarios.
