As per reports, a three-day transport sector mobilization is scheduled to begin in Lima, Peru, from 26 July to 28 July, with a nationwide strike and mass protests organized by the National and International Transporters Association (Asotrani).
• Delegations from multiple regions, particularly from northern Peru—will begin arriving on 26 July, with major protest actions planned for 27 July in front of the Palace of Justice, followed by a large-scale march on 28 July, Peru’s Independence Day.
• Protesters are also demanding the repeal of laws perceived to support organized crime, an end to government inaction, and are calling for the impeachment of President Dina Boluarte.
