As per reports, the political group “Popular Rally” has called for a public protest at the City Council meeting scheduled for Monday (14 July) at 1800 hours (local time) In the Municipality of Neapolis–Sykies in northern Greece.
• The protests are scheduled due to the potential closure of 12 nursery schools and 8 KDAP (Creative Employment Centers for Children) and KDAPmeA (for children with disabilities), alongside the looming dismissal of 324 contract workers under the KEYNS program.
• The group accuses the municipal administration of orchestrating a slow dismantling of public childcare and social structures, citing actions such as reduced working hours for employees and increased fees for services.
