According to reports, a burst drinking water pipe has flooded a street in central Wellington on Monday afternoon (30 June), cutting off water to several businesses and residences.
• Wellington Water stated that its team would have to turn water off to all of Johnston Street to carry out the repairs. Water service is likely to be restored by Monday evening (30 June).
• At 1500 hours, the organisation stated that a water tanker had been arranged to supply residents with temporary drinking water. Fire and Emergency also assisted with closing the road.
