As per reports, the Sofia Municipality has announced changes to traffic arrangements in central Sofia from Saturday (28 June) to 08 July, due to a protest organized by the Citizens’ Committee for Preservation of the Lev.

• As part of the demonstration, participants have been invited to gather in front of the Bulgarian National Bank with whistles, drums, smoke bombs, and tents, establishing a prolonged protest presence.
• Beginning on Saturday (28 June) and continuing until the end of the event on 08 July, the stay and parking of vehicles will be prohibited, except for vehicles servicing the protest and those with permits under the ‘official subscription’ paid parking regime, on several streets.
• These include Racho Dimchev Street; William Gladstone Street between Racho Dimchev Street and Petko R. Slaveykov Square; and Khan Krum Street between William Gladstone Street and G. S. Rakovski Street.
• Additionally, from 0700 hours (local time) each day until the conclusion of the protest, vehicle entry will be restricted on the above streets and also on G. S. Rakovski Street between Graf Ignatiev Street and Patriarch Evtimiy Boulevard.
• These restrictions apply to all vehicles except those directly servicing the protest and trolleybuses from the mass urban transport system. These measures will be enforced at the discretion of the Traffic Police Department of the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs (SDVR).
