The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has issued Yellow Alerts for rainstorms and high temperatures on Wednesday (25 June). From Wednesday-Friday (25-27 June), torrential rainfall is expected in parts of the eastern Southwest region, Jianghan, Jiangnan, and Huanghuai, while severe heat will persist in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, and surrounding areas.

The details are as follows:

• On Wednesday (25 June), heavy rainfall (100-130 mm) is forecast for southern Sichuan, Guizhou, eastern Chongqing, northwestern Hunan, central and western Hubei, southern Henan, northwestern Anhui, western Yunnan, western Guangdong, and northeastern Hainan Island. These areas may also see short-term intense rainfall of up to 60 mm per hour and local strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and gales.
• From Thursday-Friday (26-27 June), southern Shandong, northern Jiangsu and Anhui, southwestern Hubei, southeastern Chongqing, northeastern and southwestern Guizhou, southeastern coastal Guangxi, and southwestern Guangdong will see continued heavy rainfall (50-90 mm).
• From Friday-Saturday (27-28 June), heavy rainfall (50-80 mm) is expected in southern Henan, northern Jiangsu and Anhui, eastern Jianghan, western Hunan, southern Southwest China, and northern South China.
• Moreover, high temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius are forecast in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, central and northern Shandong, central and eastern Inner Mongolia, southern Heilongjiang, central and western Jilin, central and western Liaoning, Junggar Basin and southern Xinjiang Basin, southern Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, and eastern Guangxi on Wednesday (25 June). Peak temperatures may exceed 40 degrees Celsius in central and southern Hebei and Turpan in Xinjiang.
