As per reports, on Tuesday (10 June), the District Magistrate of Imphal West District, Manipur, issued a partial relaxation of previously imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. As per the revised directive, movement of individuals is permitted from 0500 hours to 1700 hours, provided no activity disturbs public order; movement remains prohibited from 1700 hours to 0500 hours.

The assembly of five or more persons and the carrying of weapons, sharp objects, or explosive materials continues to be strictly prohibited. Exemptions apply to government agencies engaged in law enforcement, emergency services, banking, and other essential functions. The order is applicable across the entire revenue jurisdiction of Imphal West District and shall remain in effect until further notice.
